About the Role
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing building services consultancy based in Liverpool. This role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their career who is keen to build strong foundations in electrical design within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The team delivers efficient, sustainable engineering solutions across multiple sectors and places real emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and long-term development.
The role
You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on exposure to the design and delivery of electrical building services systems. Typical responsibilities will include:

Supporting the design and detailing of electrical systems such as lighting, small power, containment, fire alarms and low-carbon technologies

Producing drawings, layouts and calculations using industry software including AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux and Amtech

Assisting with technical documentation and design reports

Attending site inspections, design meetings and project coordination sessions

Developing knowledge of current regulations, standards and sustainable design approaches
About you

Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline

Some exposure to AutoCAD, Revit or lighting design software would be beneficial, though not essential

Keen, self-motivated and genuinely interested in developing a career in electrical building services design

Basic understanding of electrical systems within the built environment

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
