About the Role
Snowdon Recruitment are working with a large MEP organisation who are looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join their rapidly expanding team in Cheshire. As an essential member of their team, you will receive mentoring from Senior Electrical Estimators, helping you to develop and produce high-quality, competitive estimates for commercial projects across the North West.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an electrical background who are keen to start their career in estimating. They will welcome applications from Electricians, Site Supervisors, or Electrical Engineering graduates with a genuine passion for the industry and a strong desire to learn the estimating profession.
As a Junior Electrical Estimator at our client, you will receive full support for your career development, including an extensive training programme, with a clear path towards membership of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Key Responsibilities of the Junior Electrical Estimator:
- Review tender documents, drawings, and project specifications in collaboration with the Estimating team.
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates, tenders, and quotations.
- Work closely with Clients, Project Managers, and engineers to ensure estimates meet project requirements.
- Attend site and client meetings, and present tenders to secure new opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and with clients.
- Update internal databases and records to ensure clarity throughout the tender process.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the estimating process.
Requirements for the Junior Electrical Estimator:
- An electrical background, whether from hands-on experience or a relevant degree.
- 0-2 years of experience in Electrical Estimating.
- A strong desire to start or advance your career in estimating.
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
