About the Role
🔧 Remedial Engineer
Salary: £43,000 – £55,000 (including overtime)
Contract: Full-Time | Immediate Start Available
Location: UK-wide (occasional travel & overnight stays required)
Our client is looking for experienced, reliable, and qualified Remedial Engineers to support our growing portfolio of nationwide clients. We specialise in the inspection, testing, and remedial work of fixed electrical installations—and we’re seeking skilled professionals who are committed to high-quality workmanship and safety.
🔌 The Role
As a Remedial Engineer, you’ll carry out electrical repairs and minor works on a wide range of LV installations across the UK. You’ll be fault-finding, diagnosing, and delivering first-time fixes where possible, while working closely with our Remedials and Operations Supervisors to keep everything running smoothly.
This is a mobile role, and while most work will be local to your area, occasional travel and overnight stays will be required.
✅ What You’ll Be Doing

Performing electrical remedial works to a high standard across commercial and industrial sites

Diagnosing faults on single and three-phase systems and delivering safe, effective repairs

Ordering necessary parts and equipment for specific tasks

Keeping accurate records and submitting job reports within required timescales

Working flexibly, including occasional weekends and nights where necessary

Ensuring all work is compliant with BS7671:2018 (18th Edition) and company procedures

Minimising disruption to clients’ operations while maintaining safety and quality
🎓 What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong electrical knowledge, including LV systems and 3-phase fault-finding

Experience in reactive and planned maintenance environments

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Strong awareness of health and safety procedures

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
Preferred Qualifications:

Recognised electrical apprenticeship (contracting, maintenance, or mining)

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018)
-
City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 – Testing & Inspection (preferred but not essential)

CSCS or ECS Card (or equivalent safety passport)
