About the Role
Snowdon Recruitment are partnered with a leading building services design consultancy to recruit an Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their London team. This is a company who aims to give their Engineers a life long career.
You’ll take responsibility for delivering electrical design packages, coordinating with the wider team and ensuring projects are completed to high technical, safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Understand client requirements and define project scope.

Lead electrical design elements on projects coordinated from the Manchester office.

Produce high-quality drawings, specifications, reports and calculations.

Carry out surveys and investigations to support design decisions.

Ensure designs meet regulations, standards, H&S and internal QA.

Promote sustainable design approaches.

Monitor project progress and manage design changes.
-
Present work for internal review and support junior engineers.

Stay updated with industry developments and identify opportunities to improve processes.

Support client engagement and business development when required.
Experience & Technical Knowledge Required For the Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Experience with renewable energy systems and Modern Methods of Construction.

Strong understanding of British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidance.
-
Knowledge of CDM and H&S in design.
-
Skilled with Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux and Amtech.

Knowledge of LV/HV systems, generators, UPS and lighting controls.
-
Good understanding of multidisciplinary design processes.
