Job description

Scrum Master required by my successful North West based client. The Scrum Master is a highly visible position responsible for servant leadership of all Billing sprint teams, collaborating with business functional areas and 3rd party vendors where required. The Scrum Master will monitor and track team performance, proactively look for ways to improve delivery (remove impediments) and will provide mentoring where needed. You will work closely with the Product Line Manager, Product Owner and Business Function Manager to continuously improve standards of product delivery in the Billing team.

• Plan, facilitate and lead scrum ceremonies for one or more teams: release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, estimation ceremonies for teams

• Challenge teams to learn and improve using agile frameworks, practices and values

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the team is given time to work on their improvements

• Remove impediments and prevent distractions for agile teams • Help the Product Owner to manage the product backlog ensuring it is refined, prioritized and estimated to be ready for next sprint planning

• Partner with the Product Owner to set up feedback loop internally and from clients, and use it for improvement of the team’s practices or processes

• Guide the teams to mature agile approaches through adopting best practice

• Assist team and Product Owner in sprint goal setting. Clarify actions to achieve the sprint goals

 • Ensure teams maintain the agile tooling to provide transparency on progress and success

• Drive, measure and report on success metrics across all scrum teams

 • In collaboration with the Product Owner ensure transparency in reporting to stake holders

 • Coach, mentor, train and evangelise agile approaches to the wider enterprise

• Continually encourage team inspection, reflection and adaptation to delivery high quality software

 • Passion for agile approaches and continual software quality improvements
